In the 21st century, with the acceleration of industrialization and the increasing demands of human life and work, functional fabrics have unexpectedly emerged. These fabrics possess various functions such as dirt resistance, mold resistance, water resistance, sun protection, cut resistance, flame resistance, evidence against ultraviolet rays, infrared resistance, anti-static properties, and more. These functional fabrics have been introduced to the market and widely used in industries such as aerospace, transportation, military security, industrial safety, sports products, animal products, healthcare, and wellness.
Special camouflage fabric
Special camouflage fabric is primarily used in military tactical jackets, camouflage clothing, backpacks, tents, and other products. To facilitate camouflage and concealment, the camouflage pattern must resemble or blend with the surrounding environment.
However, camouflage can be detected and revealed through infrared rays. Therefore, special camouflage fabric is now being used in the military field, primarily employing infrared-resistant camouflage printing technology to prevent detection by infrared rays.
The conventional camouflage ribbon printing process mainly involves heat transfer printing and silk screen printing. Heat transfer printing uses heat transfer equipment to heat the patterns and images on transfer paper to temperatures ranging from 180 to 230 degrees Celsius, and then transfers and prints them onto various materials. Silk screen printing applies a certain amount of pressure to transfer ink onto the surface through the holes of a screen to create images or text. However, these two methods can only achieve single-color infrared resistance and cannot meet military requirements.
To address this technical challenge, KUM YANG H.Y – VINA Co., Ltd. has researched and developed camouflage fabric with 4 to 6-color infrared effect. This product has the characteristics of high color fastness, one-time camouflage pattern formation, and processing from 4 to 6 colors with infrared effect. It achieves an infrared-resistant fabric network, making it difficult for enemies to detect, hide, and confuse, while meeting the standards of military defense equipment.
